I understand the whole revenge plot of peter isn't logical but peter isnt aware that philip doesn't remember jennie. In the flashbacks, you can see that Peter ignored Jennie because of the rude cmt she made of his SA, and then later she kills herself and sent a letter saying it was Philip's fault for her pain.
