I will say what i understood but I'm unsure ok?
Pretty much in this scene we have Red hair so R, Blondy so B and FL (just so you know how I call them) who speaks about Ted, The lord and the family and you'll know later.

R came to give a report of his questioning to the people about Ted who sold the big pearl.
He said he only found out the guy ran away alone leaving his family (supposedly to pay back his debts)
Fl asked if he came back safely there back then when he returned home and he R said yes.
[Unsure part.] FL said if he checked his money, (probably was a lot I think?) R said yes but then they say "he didn't bother going to the territory" so I think it meant he didn't bring it to his debtor.
So they get the idea the lord is linked to it (because he lives in his territory and while he did seem to have wanted to pay his debt he didn't go straight away weirdly)

We later get the discussion about the hair with B mocking R being a naive and the no success discussion about Atlantis in the books with B.

We then get back to the discussion and R talks about the Lord.
All I could make it into was the THE LORD said "I don't know about his whereabouts, I just knew it was like that when I learned about it"
R then says he was flabbergasted he was tricked (talking about how he could've been fishy part)
The talk then turned to the family who were sold as slaves to another kingdom which is Bruto in this case.
Fl then questions why so much trouble (would cost too much and could cause loss and casualties between kingdom if anything goes wrong, (btw little knowledge time but boat slave travelings are very unsafe and often comes with a big loss of them mostly dying as because of it unsanitary placing and way to live in it and also being very badly treated) so it's just a waste and is confused why this place.)
We learn Bruto has been taking lot of slaves these days but we don't know more other that apart that the family is for sure going there.
Fl then wants to try finding anything that could help getting Ted the guy in debt.

B says they were pretty sure it was the Lord (THE "COULDN'T" BE KILLING MY TINY BRAIN)
Then starts imagining why this happened.
B imagined Ted bought the pearl but actually was owing the person who sold it money, as he got the money he gave it the viscount trusting he would pay it back to that lender instead but he didn't want to.
He then did some trick (probably getting Ted so people think he ran away with it and so the family is left alone and he can take them as slaves and get even more money)
B then says it's for sure Ted is dead so it's a waste of time.

And that's all I could understand.
Please tell me if you didn't understand anything-
