In my very humble opinion, while I don't like Helios very much, he is a better then Diana and more respectable(hardly). Because, at the very least he is self aware. He knows he's selfish, he knows he's trash, he knows he fuc*** up. But Diana, caught up in her delusions and self righteousness continues to make more and more mistakes. And to make it worse, when she fu*** up or stumbles, rather than seek improvement she doubles down. She blames everyone but herself. She blamed hestia for her failures in noble society(which while hestia is plotting on her, could have been avoided had seen been more eloquent and wasn't so set in her ways. Like hestia said, she doesn't know everything about the characters), she blames Helio for losing trust in her despite him clearing stating he loves and supports her and the only reason being she's a lying two faced sk***. Rather than admit her faults, she blames the world for pointing out her flaws when she herself is the one who makes them bigger and bigger. And as the cracks in her facade grow, she acts out. Like right now, she remains stubborn and refuses to believe hestias 'predictions' which will only result in loses for both her and the imperial family along with countless other nobles.
