@DTC Universal It's really not the rare thing people act like it is. Yeah there's a lot of harem stories, but there's plenty of monogamous ones too.

its fairly rare that the childhood friend wins, but she did kind of take the fist step for him when she asked what was their relationship a couple of chapters back
usualy childhood friend let the status quo stay for too long an its the new girl that shakes its up

very cute mono romance, though it's a very slow burn and not a big focus
Apex Future Martial Arts
Baits you to expect a harem, then he locks in his hottie teacher and gets married lol. Another cute romance, but sadly very secondary to the story.
Keep A Low Profile, Sect Leader
These sect leaders be very monogamous apparently. dudes max level rizz lord, everyone wants a piece, but he's only got eyes for his badass spear wielding master from his last life.
Very solid romance, that gets plenty of story focus as well!
Throne of Seal
Bit of an asterisk on this one because while there is a manhua, I've never read it and thus don't know how good it is, but I've watched the donghua, and it is incredible. Imo it has THE best romance in an action story, period. On par with, and in many cases even surpassing, dedicated romance stories. Def recommend watching.

Good LORD this one is cute, these two are g****** MADE for each other. Interested at the first meeting, catching feelings by the second, eloping by the third 😂 plus she's strong as well, so they be scrapping together. If you read any on this list for the romance alone, it should probably be this one. (Fair warning though, the arts kinda goofy at times)

Bit of a genre departure from the rest of these, but I had to include it because the chemistry and quality of the relationship is unmatched in action adventure stories, they are both the protagonists. Unfortunately it's been on hiatus for a while now and I'm starting to worry it won't come back 😭
There's many more I can't recall, as I lost most of my bookmarks when bato shut down and I'm still recovering 😭 but if none of these appeal or you just want more, lmk what kinda genres you like and I'm sure more will come to mind.
