Her trauma is not because of JUST some squirrels.
Her brother just showed her what he was capable of.
He literally told her that he would kill EVERYONE that she loves, even their parents, if she told them.
She is not afraid for the squirrels, but for the people she loves and the things her brother will do to them.
Also, please don't forget that she is still a 14-year-old girl.
