@sanaa jenki2 what does my race matter? do i have to be black to be against slavery or something? And yes actually, i did put my heart into that, and in every one of my other comments. Because I firmly don't believe this is okay. Maybe you know and acknowledge that slavery existed, but from what you're saying, it doesn't look like you understand it's impact or why people are angry (when they have a right to be). and yes actually! I have NO idea what the author was thinking when they were writing this. what made them think this was okay to write about? what makes YOU think this is okay to write about? Because it's fictional? Even though fictional stories a lot of times reflect real life? And yes i know people "simp" for anime characters and such, i have a lot of fictional characters i "simp" for. but what matters here is the context, in this case post civil war.

but i want you to know, that your ignorance doesn't make you a bad person, but rather choosing to stay that way does. i don't know if there's any point in me arguing with you or having this conversation anymore. but i want you to learn for yourself and for the sake of others around you, WHY the way you're thinking is harmful. PLEASE consider everything everyone has told you with an open mind. i can't tell you what to do, but please just be willing to listen and learn.

@saii I am not ignorant of the fact and i am listening which i understand and i always actually talk about this topic knowing that my ancestors went through something like that i'm sorry if i came off as if i was saying slavery wasn't a big deal it's just the way you guys came off seemed like you were making a joke more then what it is and it being fictional doesn't make it any better your right about that part but i just don't know why you guys felt the need to reply to the person saying that even so it's completely out right unfair to shame someone just because they said something even based off the content and i also see your point a view as well how could someone just say that knowing what happened in that period of time well they don't know how to feel about it because that's not something they went through :P sorry if i offended anyone i didn't mean it like that

@saii I'm trying to think about it both ways if you were a simp and didn't really think about what you said you'd feel bad about it but then the joke is also disrespectful at the same time so now people shame you maybe i didn't think about it in the best way or go about it the best way but we all make mistakes
