The main character is portrayed in a realistic manner and his actions have negative consequences, also it allows space for all female characters to show how they react to him having more than one wife. This is different from other mangas that feature a harem because there aren't any negative consequences to the main character having many women and everyone is satisfied with being just a girlfriend to him, without being married.
