Honestly, I wish the protagonist were a bit more ruthless toward his biological mother. She discarded him in a monster-infested forest when he was just a baby, and later, she tried to kill her own daughter simply because the girl had more magical talent. Now, she is even making pacts with cultists, despite having once been considered a hero of justice; in reality, her only goal has always been to climb the ranks of power!
