ok I hate Riftan for this... Atp this behaviour is not ''over-protecting'' , it's the same as keeping her in a cage. I hope she can realise her own value during her time away and confront Riftan later.

@Murder luka Willow yes i know, but this way maxi is helping riftan keeping the relationship with the emperor in a better way. Plus she has long realised that in order to improve herself as a person and stop relying on Riftan for the rest of her life, she has to go. She has to find herself. I understand Riftan's reluctance to accept it and his sadness over the matter. But nothing justifies the stuff he said to her in the previous episode. Like c'mon, saying that he will k** himself to try to keep her beside him ? Big nope from me :) Maxi should become independent , and when she comes back Riftan should realise how wrong he was and make up for his mistake. He also should improve himself, so they can have a peaceful life together for the rest of their lives.
@laegwen I read about 90 chapters ahead, and now I hate Riftan with every fiber of my being! He’s miserable because he chooses to be!
