She's the kind of person who commits a crime for the sake of some inexcusable justification, just for the sake of it. Really killers just go ahead and do it, some don't even try justifying their actions.
Her past is indeed pitiful, but using her past as an excuse for serial homicide is bullshit. I'd rather hear that She's a mad woman who derives joy from torture
