@SIR INTEGRA Could be a translation subtlety. Like it's "harsh" in the sense of "public perception" instead of being "too much" from her own perspective. She doesn't seem to mind if her betrayers suffer, so it could be the original meaning was in terms of scheming. Don't want the abusers from her past life to appear sympathetic etc. I usually give translations the benefit of the doubt, especially in contexts like there where she is clearly motivated by justified revenge, I will interpret as her worrying about scheme rather than feeling sympathy for someone who betrayed and murderd her.
