Comment on ChapterPASSION - Chapter 70

S3 has ended. They'll take a lil break before S4. This is also where Vol 3 ended so I think they are doing it 1 season per Volume.

The trans is bad but even when the official comes out on Tappytoon, I still don't think they managed to capture the emotion of these scene. This was one of my favorite moments in the novel, how Tae just completely broke down.

Brother missing. Used by his uncle. Vented out by Xinlu. Hated and bullied by his colleagues (whom he got along at one point) and used as a masturbation tool by his superior (Ilay). And when he wanted to go back home, he can't even do it bec people would be after him (cause of Jae)...

"It's too much, uncle..."

When I read that, your heart would just break.

Then there's a little bit of heartwarming moment between uncle and nephew but still...

And if you read and finished the novels... you'll know what's to come... Vol 4 is my favorite arc in Passion so... This arc contains my top 3 favorite moments in Passion.

@Ale Per I can't link it (since that's how it gets reported and removed) but you can search for it in wattpad. There's actually two translation versions in wattpad. Since both are MTL, I read them both bec the MTL trans is a little iffy. But its readable and you can also read the comments in wattpad. Sometimes, they have explanations for the hard to understand parts. And they have Diasphonic Symphonia and Suites.

@ilay sexual (are you also on Bato?) I don't think I can give a concise spoiler bec so many things happened hahaha. Some people may do a better job. But I'll tell you what my top 3 fav moments are (and they'll all appear in Vol 4.

Spoiler!
Tae's revenge: basically before Tae leaves UNHRDO, he drugs Ilay, and handcuffs him on the bed. Then he edges him while saying how he hates having s** with Ilay. And that Tae wants Ilay to also have a bad memory before he leaves. Then he slaps him before leaving.

Birch Forest: So, Tae gets kidnapped (along with Kyle's friends). Ilay arrives and shoots a missile at the house where Tae was captive. Tae (at this point Tae is on the run from Ilay due to the aforementioned revenge scene haha). Tae runs away from Ilay so Ilay sets fire to the forest to lure Tae out. You probably have to know the backstory whuch involves Kyle, Maurer, Kim Youngsoo (Tae's alias) and why Tae is in Berlin to understand the context of how awesome and cathartic this scene is. But I'm gonna too lazy to write it

Mirror S** Scene: Tae and Ilay have s** in front of the mirror. And that's when Ilay announces that Tar is his. "You're Mine Tae. There is 't a psrt of your body that I don't know. There isn't a part I haven't touch." I think that's one of the most intense s** scenes they have, and we see how much of an Villain Ilay is. It is a pivotal moment where Ilay acknowledges his "obsession" towards Tae. I would have said "feelings" but what Ilay feels for Tae is more complicated than simple "like" or infatuation. And I think that at that point, "obsession" is the most fitting word.

Spoiler!
And... Ilay's treatment of Tae only gets worst from there... Believe me when I say that Ilay is one of the most vile Red Flag tops main ML (just see Gable's POV) to have ever graced BL Manhwas. Worst than Choi Yule, Cha Wookyung, Park Taesung, Woo Shinje, Kim Hyunje, Park Nakwon... but if you understand his character, how his mind works, his actions makes so much sense. Which is why I like his character so much.

Even when Passion ended, I couldn't see them as "lovers". I can't see their relationship as "romantic" or "intimate" but at the same time... it makes so much sense given the kind of personalities Ilay and Tae have... even during the sequel, Diasphonic Symphonia, I kind had doubts to the legitimacy of their "love", not just bec of Ilay's Psychopathy but also bec Tae is just absolutely terrified and traumatized of Ilay...

But... over time... little by little... Ilay does learn how to be slightly less inhuman. And their relationship does gain a bit of normalcy.

But that's why I like Passion so much. Like The Beast Must Die, it portrays a pseudo-realistic depiction of how a relationship with a "Psychopath" like Ilay would work.

@ilay, I think I've seen you. You have Colton from Do you still like me as your Pfp right?
