@Black Angel to compensate for how awful they are. Imagine they are not only abusive, psychos and overall gaslighting their partners all the time, but they are ugly. Who on their right mind would go back to an ugly a** bas****? Yeah, no one. So basically it is to compensate their crappy behaviour.
