 As I said in another comment, Cirrus is a deeply damaged teenager who had no one while growing even when he faced the darkest sh**. Currently, more in the raws, he's at his worst to be honest, but I think that's part of his "development". From this kid slash bully who hides everything to this low-key dangerous one who pours all the poison that's killing him into Skylar, because he's the only bond he feels as genuine, unharmful, real.Â
By any mean I'm washing his toxicity or saying his behavior is right, but facing there's a problem is the first step to seeking help and starting healing, and only when Cirrus reaches rock bottom I think he'll be able to think of stepping forward.
And Skylar needs help as well, and his own issues are harming Cirrus even more. None of them is currently what the other needs, but hopefully they'll be in the future<3
