I feel rimuru himself is the worst part about this manga. How do you expect anyone to believe that this naive child like mf is really a 40 yo guy? Letting the enemy who was conspiring against you go away is the height of stupidity. There are so many other moments where he is unbelievably stupid. This manga is really just his skill(raphael) doing all the damń work. Tensei slime would've been a goat fr if only it had a better main character.

@Cat Food so you want the unique part of rimuru out? and this is a new world new rules like how are you gonna find out this race exist when almost everyone doesnt know it exist or they believe its a legend? primordial demon they probably not real - random a** tensura person so tell me how do you expect for rimuru who has only been in this new world for 2 fuc**** years to know everything ofc he needs help
@lean Correct! Even your old and have a wisdom in a one place your still a young dumb one in another place. A very good example is this is like when your going in on another country! Thats why tourist will get a culture shocked in a another country because the are different to there own country.

"unique part" is kind of a stretch there. The explanation for this used and abused character trait is so simple and obvious, it boggles the mind people don't think of it first. This is a shonen manga with a target audience still going to middleschool. That's why there is no actual depiction of cruelty in this world and that is actually the most fundamental issue with this story. That's why there is no inbetween, it always boils down to a "all is fine and dandy" or "Cataclismic death" situation. Doesn't let much space for nuance there, does it?
Rimuru being a happy-go-lucky dumb-dumb in an actual gritty world filled with monsters and somehow ruling over them, wouldn't be so bad. But that's clearly not what it is here. It really is just another typical isekai protag, it's the side characters that make it somewhat interesting, Rimuru by himself is just boring AF.
@TotallyAbsurd not hating but what i mean is its funny that rimuru is this happy go lucky but when he is mad he is seriouse af and if the story is just boring when its just rimuru remember this they only talk abt rimuru hey petsonaly like tensura cause of rimuru and the world building specially in the ln parts
