What's the point of this? I really dont see where the story is going? She's not trying to gain a sense of independence, not trying to escape an arranged marriage, nor trying to get revenge of of any kind, or even trying to figure out how she got her powers, is she a magician / mage, a necromancer: probably not. she just seems to have no ambition or true purpose. Not even following any of the usual cliche plot lines but at the time with a cliche plot line we would've had some idea of end goal that is trying to be achieved in the story.
