TJ was afraid that Ian would repeat the fate of his parents who died in a car accident, so he tried to protect him from participating in such a dangerous activity as motocross. He hired guys to keep him out of the racebut a fight broke out and Ian fell from the balcony, injuring his leg. TJ never wanted to hurt his loved one. People like to make him out to be a villain, forgetting how he fought the other gang members to save Ian and ended up getting a scar on his face. Even now, TJ fights their enemies alone so that Ian can live a peaceful life.
