You guys have to see it form his perspective. Imagine falling for a duke as a commoner and few hours ago you were kidnapped, almost r$$p$d. Now you are scared and afraid of what's coming so you decide to leave the duke behind but he doesn't want you to. you start tearing up cause you love him too much but don't want to ruin his future or his family.
@Sometimesicrack I would act like a grown up and go for what my heart wants. The duke is willing to go for it, so why is Jace the one acting like a btch?, he has nothing to lose except the duke, and he's breaking up with him. I'm so done with Jace, he doesn't even deserve the duke at this point. I hate bottoms that "wanna protect the rich top" when that's the worse they can do
