That acid must evaporate at a very high temperature, or all their mucous membranes would be all torn up from the gas.

There's one part that bugs me: They don't have slanted walls to protect people on the sides of the pool and guide the goblins into it. They have _ instead of \_/.

@Galactic Navy Officer look again the last image the moat is properly fenced on 3 sides
I'm not referring to the fence, I'm referring to putting angled walls between the corner of the pit and the forest, with the pit end next to or connecting with the fence.

The slanted walls act as both defense for the defenders on the ground, and as a funnel guiding the goblins into the acid pit.

Without it or any wall there, it shows the goblins attacking the defenders on the ground by the pit.
@Galactic Navy Officer they placed tho moat on the only way out the mines it's in front of a stone "bridge" with a big cliff on both sides
@Galactic Navy Officer the drawings here are not the best I agree but the last image is showing the moat in front the stone bridge
@Galactic Navy Officer Actually, it's very clearly a somewhat narrow bridge over a cliff.
@Galactic Navy Officer Yes. The road the acid pit in built on is very clearly a somewhat narrow bridge over a cliff. It's why they set up there in the first place, because it's the only way for the goblins to come down the mountain/mine from, due to the cliff around it.
@Unslaadahsil It's a path in the woods. A flat path with woods on each side. The illustrations are very clear. Even if you haven't read/been spoiled about the novel.
@Galactic Navy Officer the woods are several meters down the cliff so you can see the trees from above
