To be fair, this is where WWX's own arrogance and flippant nature backfired on him. He constantly went out of his way to one up everyone. He always wanted to win, by a large margin and leave everyone else in his dust. Jiang Cheng has no control over him. After years of asserting himself as the best of everything, he now has this fearsome new power that no one understands. It's easy to understand from their point of view. That's why MXTX is such a good writer. You can justify both sides. No one side is necessary right or wrong over the other because they are each doing what they believe is right.

Yeah, And for his 1st life he Not only never shows any humility he rarely ever shows any respect to anyone else. So, It's easy for many to Believe that he be the one to do all these things (that he honestly is kind of doing) And He hasn't engendered himself to many people because of his behavior. I do think it's great that you can see both sides, if you're willing to Not just be Blinded by the fact that he's hot and the Lead. Sometimes, it's hard for me too. Lol. Unfortunately, all of those bad qualities made him the perfect scape goat, and that's kind of grave dug himself. That Jin Sect B@stard been taking advantage of that and using Wei's own arrogance against him.

My G_o_d what am I reading? Wei Wuxian can be "arrogant" sometimes but he's never purposely tried to one up anyone. He's just that good. It can't be Wei's arrogance against if everything he's ever bothered about in his life was related to other people.

It can though. Arrogance and naivety. Naive enough to think that just doing the right thing was enough and arrogant enough to believe he was:
A-The moral authority in what was right
B- Could cultivate the wrong path without accepting help from his brother or LWJ.
C- That he could take on the entire cultivation world

i always say this, nothing is that simple nor black and white.
and eveyone is flawed, and has made regretable choices...
u do what u thnk is right in the moment but the consequences will soon follow,
only then you will know...it's hard for ppl to admit but ur actions have consequences,
always..and YES u don't always know until it's too late, what the stakes end up being.
but the facts are facts, that's just life. u can have pure intentions and still unintentionallu cause harm.

no one is perfect, all of these characters experienced regret in decision..in some shape or form. of course, some characters are far more WORSE than others, and have done evil things but. u start to see the moments, looking back... all things could've been prevented, on all sides.
