yeah, another case of the anime being a downgrade. I didn't get to finish the first episode bc it felt dumb to be honest, but the premise seemed quite original from other bls so I figured that the manga would feel way better, and it seems I was right. The anime just doesn't have the right tone, or maybe it's just me.

@frog I haven't watched the anime yet so I can't fully speak on its quality or its content, but it's likely it got a lower budget since it's bl and a riskier move to animate :( and (if I remember correctly I'm rereading this after a while so i might not be) this has no sm** which also limits appeal.
I hope one day gay and lesbian romances/stories can get the same amount of time, effort, and funding as straight ones do.

@frog the anime adaptation is okay at least to me, it's just that, some anime adaptations skip other chapters. Just like what they did here. I honestly think it's not bad, but because of that they leave some important parts that shows these characters have some depth, niw in the anime they lack of it especially the ml. They should've stick with the chapters direction but I understand they want to reduce the work frames. That being said, because of that there's so many room of questions if we only watch the anime. It wasn't big but still, it would've been nice if they didn't leave out some scenes that'll make the other characters have more depth except mc. In the anime they mostly make mc shine, which is okay ofc but that made the other characters look a bit shallow (you get what i mean?) the adaptation reminds me of that two saintess that has been summoned (forgot the title) but yeah, kinda same approach for the adaptation which leaves the other characters lacks depth except the main character. Also, here in their anime, they probably have to tone it down because it's rare to have a bl anime like this. I could say that the most daring yaoi anime I have seen so far would be Dakaichi and Super Lovers. I think the director here tried this approach because this is mainly isekai genre, and most minors preferred watching that theme so they carefully considered the audience. Not bad tbh. As much as I like to see the scene properly shown to see their exact feelings/reaction like in the manga, I am actually glad they tone it down for the younger audience....
@proudautohomoerotic that is true. This has riskier theme that's why. The genre was mainly isekai too, so more younger/minors would try to watch this. They definitely considered the audience. I really hope they would slowly open up with this kind of themes though as well just like how they make an effort for straight ones. And oh yeah, there's not really any sm** here so it's good. Just the depiction. On that sense is already a tone down at the very least.
