It's a dragon quest trope. You beat the "demon king" and then here comes the "great demon king."(though it has appeared in other media)
Though the gathering of forces is definately end story material and the new force is just children who even if they have connections with the heroes it will be very absurd to put them on now. The previous force were more interesting and powerful from the start and the queen is in a human vessel. If now she can make more powerful beings from children it will be bs.

@GreenDude I get what you mean, but I felt like they were never growing to succeed originally. I mean all that talk about how Domad was the only one they needed to worry about and how they demon queen would be easier to defeat just felt like flags for defeat or smth. idk im not a writer.
