Okay it's cute but... Was it necessary to make the child deaf? I mean it's not like I hate it but why did the author did that? Was it something about genetics or is it heritary?

@Baek Siyun So what? It’s interesting how people like you question it, when the author has clearly been intentional about disability representation throughout the whole manhwa. I feel sad when people ask for a ‘reason’ when a character has a disability. Honestly I don’t see it as something that needed justification. Because deaf children exist. People without a leg exist, people with scars all over their body exist. That’s reason enough. It’s not a punishment or a flaw, it’s just a reality for some people. Representation doesn’t need a plot excuse.
@Ashes 🚬 nah it's not like I'm hating it or that I hate people with disabilities or something. It's just it feels like it was unnecessary, kinda forced. I don't think there was any need to do this. And I know what you're saying... Maybe my comment might sound rude but I wasn't trying to be anywhere near rude. And author already did a great job representing that. Here I felt like there wasn't any need for that.
@Baek Siyun You keep saying you’re not being rude but calling a disability ‘forced’ or ‘unnecessary’ is objectively rude and unnecessary. Deafness is not something that needs to justify its existence in a story. Saying ‘there was no any need for that’ about a disability is wild. People don’t develop disabilities because there’s a ‘need’. They exist because that’s reality for someone people. It’s a part of life. Not everything has to revolve around your comfort.
And "they say nobody is perfect" but We don’t question why characters are perfectly healthy, attractive, or unrealistically flawless in certain manhwas, do we? so why is disability the thing that suddenly needs a "need"?
And this is the author’s manhwa. Saying that "here there wasn’t any need for that" doesn’t even make any sense. If they choose to represent disability through their own work, this is exactly where they’re supposed to do it. Suggesting there was ‘no need’ for it contradicts the idea of supporting representation in the first place. Period.

@Urmama
Wow!! Well ig maybe you are right, it's up to author to do whatever they want, even if... Nevermind.🤐
Wow!! Well ig maybe you are right, it's up to author to do whatever they want, even if... Nevermind.🤐@Baek Siyun i had the same question, both the parents are hearing so how is the child deaf ? Quick Google search , they could have recessive gene which is passed down to the child or complications in pregnancy can also lead to deafness . In earlier times when medicine was not as developed lil children would get flu/fever and can cause hearing loss. So there's that 🙌
@Colaaaaaaahh thank you so much for explaining.
See! This is how you answer a question. I was just asking why? You could've just simply answered this or could've just ignored the question if you didn't know the answer. These people are always ready to pick a fight.

@Baek Siyun FYI no one was picking a fight with you anywhere and you asked whether it was necessary to make the child deaf and why the author did that and I don't see the point of that question at all cuz WHY NOT? If the author wanted to make a character deaf, they can. They are free to do whatever they want with their own work. You don't have any right to question it. You ain't even paying for this. And if you wanted a biology lesson you should've said it lol or you could just google it since google is also free.
