Callisto tells them he was in a good mood until now so he was going to listen to them. But now that he sees them, he's feeling pretty bad. He then glances at the head of the emperor and tells them that they took away something he longed for. So they'll repay for it with their limbs. Penelope thinks she's glad she's not that crazy. Penelope takes this as her chance and she runs out to the hostages. She glances across at Yvonne who just stares at her with no intention of stopping her. As Penelope reaches the hostages she immediately cuts their ropes. She cuts Emily's ropes first. Emily tells her she didn't think she was coming to which Penelope Penelope also didn't know she would be here. Emily tells her the real villain needs to die and asks Penelope why good people like them should die. With Emily's help they were able to free the children.

Penelope asks Emily to take good care of the kids. She asks if any of them is hurt. They all respond except for the one in the lion mask. She realizes Raon isn't amongst them. She also notices that her wand is gone and looks to see Raon with her wand in his hand. Yvonne orders him to kill everyone and bring her the wand. Yvonne then moves and goes down the underground passage.

Callisto calls across that he's going to go down after her so save the children first and then come down after him slowly. Callisto chases after Yvonne. Penelope sees Raon's empty eyes and pulls Emily and the children behind her. Raon mutters to himself that because of him his master is.. Penelope remembers Vinter telling her that Raon had been brainwashed. Children were easier to brainwash than adults and one should never provoke them with guilt. Penelope asks him to calm down first and tries to assure him that Vinter is not dead.

It's not his fault that any of this happened. He continues as say no it's his fault hat his master exploded and died so he needs to save his friends. They children behind her begin to call out saying that they're here. They're here because he made them come here. Penelope tried to get them to stop but it was already too late. Roan began to grab his head and shook like crazy saying its not him, he's sorry, he'll do whatever you say. He'll kill them all. He'll kill the monsters. Penelope debates whether she should charge and take the wand off him now as it begins to glow. She still has the rose Vinter gave her but it'll be a waste to use it now. But the ball of light at the end of the wand continued to grow and Penelope made her decision. She ordered the children to stay behind her as she wasn't going to use the defensive magic. But then one of the children shouted out a spell and knocked out Raon.She approaches Raon to check whether he's dead but it was just stun magic. She compliments to child in the pig mask. Penelope takes her wand back from Raon. Penelope orders the children to go to a safe place as far away from the imperial palace as possible. Emily askes whether that's okay and should she come with them. But Penelope tells her she still has work to do. The children thank her for saving them and teleport away with Raon and Emily.
