@Anime fan I believe the old man was Kim Dan's old boss. He (I believe) assaulted him (probably sexually) and making Kim Dan quit his job.

@Anime fan He was a higher up in the hospital Dan worked at. He attempted to SA Dan, but a nurse walked in on them before anything major could happen. Dan became the scapegoat, so he was fired, and no other hospitals would interview him, presumably because the higher ups lied to protect their hospistals reputation
