@Yup Yup It might look harsh but to lit up their dead motivation they need something that will create their thirst for it and it seems revenge against the MC is the best fire . So MC is doing exactly that by portraying himself as if he is still the same despicable trash as he was before 

@Walm Nevermind the fact that by being this close to the mc's base of power and seeing exactly what he's become and built up in the year or so he's been working, they'll likely lose the edge or even come to serve him on their own.
