@pookiebee Kids in my family are taught to work their a$$ off even for subjects they deem either uninteresting or difficult af, especially because that teaches kids how to properly make EFFORT, even more so about the countless dull things that come with adulthood. For instance whether you particularly fancy or dislike taxes, it's an unavoidable aspect of adulthood with plenty of consequences. Hence in my family and relatives we always ALWAYS teach kids to do their utmost effort whatever the subject, less because of "you'll need this subject later on" than because capability to make effort whatever the moment and the subject as hand is LE key skill in Life.
Meanwhile you said it yourself : you're unable unless it's out of hobby/"passion". Working is about professionalism, responsability, doing things that annoys you but are necessary for the processes, etc. Hence I greatly doubt you have even remotely the mindset needed to properly work and earn a living.
