No, it was just stress. She was falling into depression & ml was being considerate to her. When she get to know about bet, her life just flipped 180° but ml still didn't give any explanation. So now she will leave him for good but ml being ml, he would think she is throwing tantrum & won't go to bring her. When his bro & sis get to know this they would go but ml be like I don't care, if she want to come she can & be like tell her I'm not going to be angry on her so she can come but when she won't come he would be like Ahh still throwing tantrums, then go get drunk, sit on train go to meet her create drama. She will tell him to go. Then after he would realise she isn't coming & it's not her tantrum. Then her grandma or his nanny would tell him some words & he would realise his mistakes. Then from there groveling & regret arch start. I novel it was too much to bear & he was so dog but in manga it's still bearable. Because he was showing concern over her but novel he was pure narcissistic
