i'm sure that could suck and all but i doubt that would even be that bad for the average person enough to be called a calamity. What, really, does reversal really even do?
If my stats were 100, would they become 0 or -100. it could be anything from [stat max]/[current stat] or [stat max] - [current stat] or [current stat]*-1 or some other thing. the last one would by far be the worst if under normal circumstances, no one has a negative skill. i assume youd just die if you had less than 0 strength or speed and the like. for the first one, for the second one, as long as your stats were in the lower half towards max, youd gain something and for the first one your stats would increase a ton as long as it were somewhere below the max's square root.
In my opinion, if it's called a calamity it should be unreasonable to even hope for a good outcome. With great reversal, or whatever, it seems more like a neutral thing that just happens to suck for high levels.
only reason i think it could be bad is that since its a skill, anything you gain from hunting or xp would end up reducing your stats. So even if you benefitted initially, you would end up losing out if you ever tried to use your new broken stats.
