@Pie It is that easy. Physical proof was extremely rare back then so testimony was proof, as it still is obviously,  there's not going to be forensic evidence of someone being a witch.  There is a witness, the 3rd most irrefutable witness in the country. The testimony of a princess would be condidered fool proof evidence unless the the King himself contradicted her.  She would not have to prove Anita is a witch, Anita would have to prove she is not a witch.  She doesn't even have to say she is a witch, she can just say she attacked her, which she did, and call the guards over.

This never happens in these stories because it is boring and for some reason main characters rarely use their authority.
Read Cursed Princess Club, it's finished and fantastic.

@Mistress Maya remember, the common sense of that world is: the witches existED but are now EXTINCT, woul you believe someone (no matter their status or credibility) if they said to you (without physical proof) that they saw a dinosaur?
he**, you may believe that that person believed that they saw a live dinosaur, but you'd assume they hallucinated the whole thing, were drunk, drugged, dreamed, etc... because common sense that eveyone know is that dinosaurs are extinct
