@Heathers i'm sorry to hear what you've been through. i guess i can understand a fraction of it because i also got abused by a family member.
however, i gotta disagree with your opinion that the mc liking guys and crossdressing is bad bcz it's not "normal". i think that "normal" is a way of saying "most people do/are this" but got deformed over time and ended up meaning "good thing that most people do/are". This essentially means nothing because a way of living that is adopted by the majority of people is not necessarily "good". There might in fact, have no option which are "good" or "bad".
This is the case with this mc. Being gay is certaintly not true for most people, but that doesn't mean it's not good. Crossdressing either is not most people's hobby, but it doesn't mean it's bad. Imagine this. A heterosexual man, who does not crossdress is put among gay men who crossdress. Is being heterosexual and crossdressing suddenly bad and not "normal" because he became the minority? Of course not.
