So, in the 4 years they've been married, she never, not once, took it upon herself to qualify herself to run the business? Crack open a business book, attended a meeting to take notes, asked her grandma some questions... Wow...and how did she expect to show her grandmother that she could actually do it? By cutting her arm and presenting to her a bowl of the Serenity blood?

She may have a lot of time to learn business. But looking back at her past?, she was 17 at that time. Looking back at the setting of the story. Woman we're not allowed to study at that time at all. Men only have the privilege to study at schools while women should be staying at their house be a good house wives and learn to scrape off all of mens craps at they're own houses. If you think that selena was a childish princess, then think of it as that, but maybe you should look at the setting of the story. Not by just commenting hate to a certain character

@Levier Cale Make it make sense, her grandmother ( a woman ) established the hotel with her sweat and blood and he took over and helped the grandmother ( a woman )
