She is the CEO of Ji's company (Ruowen, I think its name), so Tao asked Ji to mentor her girlfriend (Ningwei) to "reach her full potential" as she lacks acting skills. However, as Jing chose Ningwei as her student, it's hard for Ji to help her like she has promised Tao before.
