The hating on Ash has been bothering for soooooo long now.
Ash has been a loving and caring guy ever since their first time getting together after the agreement started. He made sure it would be okay with Karlyle if he were to touch him and treat him liked that. He even said he likes to treat his sexual partners well... And Lyle agreed with everything, as long as they would leave 'CATCHING FEELINGS' aside. Lyle was the one that made this request and Ash is just trying to follow with it.
I do agree that Ash has been more and more affectionate towards Karlyle as they keep seeing each other, and so has Lyle. I guess they are doing it because they are developing and discovering their feelings for each other, but then there is that rule in the way... They should have just talked about it, but they didn't... Therefore, all the angst and sadness is only because of the miscommunication and misunderstandings, they are not Ash's fault at all, he is just being himself and trying to respect Karlyle (and his rules) at the same time.
Now, I know it must have been hard to hear that, but what was he expecting anyway?! Of course Ash wouldn't say anything about the kind of relationship they had. Also he didn't even know anything about Karlyle's feelings yet. I understand Lyle is inexperienced and insecure when it comes to love and relationships, but he shouldn't just end things there and ran way just hoping Ash would follow him without knowing anything, especially because they were supposed to not meet again after... That was just too risky! They should have left it to talk soon after, when they were alone.
Let's just hope one of them will be willing to pursue their love and end this whole misunderstanding... It will probably be Ash ig.
