for ppl complaining about his accent if u didn't know, they're speaking kansai-ben, it's different from the standard dialect(?) accent(?) that is spoken usually in places like Tokyo.
Osaka and kyota are cities in Kansai region where they speak kansai-ben and the translator is probably trying to replicate it in English, ig kansai-ben being the equivalent to southern accent kinda makes sense?
