Ain is on a path for revenge. He was SA'd by Michelle's father and brothers.

@Linnne So Ain was an illegitmate child of lord Shelag and his mom was from the South. When he was like 10 his mom finally understood that lord Shelag married another woman and is not coming back to her and his child, so she killed herself.
After it Ain survived alone mostly by robbing and was a member of a gang. Then he was caught and trafficed to the South with some other children.
He hates aristocrats cause of his experience when he was a s** slave as a child, gone through terrible sh** and was treated like a thing
I think the longest he was enslaved by Michelle's father, and cause Michelle's mother was pregnant with him, so Ain also decided that that baby belongs to him like for all his sufferings
Then Ain managed to become free and actually succeeded in business, he also used a lot of dirty ways for it.
After that Ain came back to his father Lord Shelag, who lost almost all his money and almost became broke. So he had no choice but to claim bas**** Ain as his heir and called him Ian.
Lord Shelag wife snd daughter obviously hated Ain and there was a lot if drama. after his father's death Ain became lord Shelag and started his revenge plan against Michelle's family.
Michelle's family was basically broke so they accepted all Ain's help and money, but he just made them dependant on him to destroy them all later.
And marriage with Michelle was also just like a part of revenge to Ain
