A party happy pill would make you awake and probably ho***, coke would make you awake, feel less pain and maybe ho*** if you were already before and the two painkillers/anaesthetic drugs opioids and ketamine will not make you ho***, but helpless or careless....
I know there's more uncommon stuff and mixes etc. but that would make no sense at all in this context!! In a hospital or by a doctor ketamine is the most logical thing. The author invented a drug to fit their story and ignored reality and coherence to fit some ra**-sm** inside.
It would have been more realistic with him being unresponsive, but that would show how disturbing the SA is, but who wants realism .... 😑 (cynical)
