I read that in the novel the fl was cursed.... And my theory for now, the mais seems a bit suspicious (we all know that a lot of curse is made by blood)....

His intention was to get rid of the curse and live happily with his family. That mistress(pretend) probably tried to trick him and said she could get rid of the curse. Also I think one of the prequel side stories covered how the ml himself lost control, nearly killed everyone until he almost killed his son.

@DRK _UNKNOWN Asiel(son) probably won't reappear until the side stories after the end. Asiel also happens to be a regressor who remembers his 1st life. The same Asiel that was born in the 1st timeline will be born.
