People in the comments are forgetting how insecure Kim Dan is. If Jaekyung confess right now, there's a higher chance that he'll get rejected.  That will affect his performance and will put more strain in their relationship. Dan will blame himself and Jaekyung will never get to experience warmth again. Jaekyung should get his sh** together, focus, and win the game. It isn't just an ordinary fight, it's all or nothing for Jaekyung as an athlete. Pursuing Dan can come right after that.
