@Ukes' Booties Plot Armor I don't think he is cold hearted per say (like his rapi$t is for instance). When you live with the kind of anxiety he prolly lives with you get tight inside until you can't feel whats there (emotionally speaking). This seems to be what he has done. You can tell bc of his face in the final panel and how he doesn't argue the point.
