She is the real daughter and the mother is the woman who was in the portrait the mother died and the child in her stomach died with the mother soon after there death the daughter was reborn again and was blessed by gods and she is infact a dragon not a lizard and we can see her using her powers when she lift's up the rock from the beginning of the chapters ^^ hope this helps
