@Just_a_random_stranger it's not the shortness that bothered me.  When he was walking down the stairs it looked like a skirt 😒😮💨 I bet the novel isn't like this. 
I've gotten a fussy comment how poor translation can end up making the story different.  But manga artists are even worse about it.  IMO.
