I really hate the MC's character. The way he treats his friend breaks my heart. I mean, if he doesnt want to be his friend or doesn’t consider him a friend anymore, he should just say it to his face and cut ties for good. This two faced behavior of the MC really pis*** me off. I can't root for him.
If you look at the situation from another perspective, where Taeshin is the MC and our actual MC is the two faced friend, people would bash him left, right and center. And honestly, his family situation doesn’t generate an ounce of sympathy from me.
Taeshin probably has no one else to talk to about his life or the crushes he has on various guys from time to time. This is the reality for many gay people, they often don’t have many friends because of their sexuality. So even having one friend from the same circle who knows their secret and accepts them as they are is a big deal. That one friend is often the only person they can talk to about their love life, since others don't treat it as normal because of homophobia. The MC, being gay himself, should at least understand that.
Yes, calling late at night wasnt appropriate on Taeshin's part, but I think he was probably going through a lot. His behavior wasn’t normal, and the fact that he ends up committing suicide later in the story says a lot about what he was dealing with.
