@Vee I read the manhwa and I don't  understand  what's  the deal tbh. The fl was supposed  to be executed,  but she and the ml  told the emperror she was pregnant with the ml's child  so she would be spared.  
They did the freak and she got pregnant  after a while and she ran away once, the ml said he would give the baby to the emperror once it is born so he could find the fl . Then he found the fl anyways, the fl ran again and again and she is still running away. Idk what's  goin on

the princess (FL) was captured as a prisoner of war and married off to a general (ml) of the country that invaded and conquered her Kingdom- the general was the one who actually did the invading and conquering so there was bad blood there- her twin brother managed to escape. The twins share a bond where the brother is able to use super powerful magic but at the expense of his sister's life force that's why she had always been weak and bedridden. Part of the deal is that any child she has will be given to the king who obviously intends to raise it as the next attack dog

The ML  is half dragon and sometimes gets overcome with dragon madness therefore he's known throughout the kingdom as a bloodthirsty tyrant. He was found as a child  by the king he now serves. He was racked by guilt because without a constant supply of magic etc, half dragons eat their moms from the inside so he came into this world by killing his mom. The king took advantage of his trauma and brainwashed him into becoming his loyal attack dog.

During their time together, the Ml and FL gradually start to fall in love; however due to his upbringing and half dragon nature, the Ml doesn't really understand feelings and is prone to random bouts of jealousy and cruelty in the name of love. FL gets pregnant but she keeps it from Ml because she knows he is still loyal to the king and despite their growing relationship, he would probably still give their child away.

There's some Duke whose lands neighbour the Ml. His daughter has wanted the Ml for herself for some time and is jealous that FL has taken him away. She tries to hurt FL and in a rage Ml breaks her neck though she doesn't die. The king, Duke and Ml agree that the Duke will be given any child they get as payment for the injury on his daughter. Ml doesn't tell FL about this and because of his lack of understanding of human feelings doesn't see how this deal is problematic- he believes so long as he and the FL are together nothing else matters. He also is still unaware that FL is pregnant at the time and assumes that is a problem they'll have to deal with in the distant future.

FL is worried for her child and manages to escape during a blizzard while ML is away from their Castle. Ml comes back, goes berserk and starts chasing after her out of anger- feels betrayed that 'his property' has escaped. The princess runs into an actual dragon during her escape- there's a lot of backstory about how the dragon had a human lover and he tricked her to teach him magic then ran away back to his human lover... The dragon believes interspecies relationships are doomed but transforms into a human to follow the princess and see how her story will play out. It also grants FL the ability to cast magic (before she only had huge magic reserves but was unable to use them by herself without her brother)

FL gets captured by the neighbouring duke's daughter but seeing how FL is determined to protect her future child even though he will be 'a monster' changes her mind and decides to help. The Duke's daughter never received love from her parents and is inspired by Fl dedication to the child. As they try to escape to the docks and link up with some rebels from FL country who will reunite her with her brother, they are ambushed on a bridge by the King's knights and the Duke's daughter is killed in the process. FL casts magic and everything goes boom; before she can fall to her death, Ml appears and grabs her while hanging off the bridge with one hand. He finally realises he loves both her and the child, asks for her to forgive him and throws her into the rebel's ship that was coming for her. Ml lead is arrested by the King's knights for letting her escape.

Ml is taken b4 the king who tells him that in order to forgiven of treason, he must agree to frame the FL with the death of the Duke's daughter and use it as an excuse to start another war in the South. The king is part of some Northern alliance consisting of several countries in the North plus the Barbarians. Ml realises the princess and his child 
will never be safe unless he takes action. He uses dragon magic to bind the king, takes his ring (symbol of authority) and uses it to mobilize the Northern alliance with the intent of marching south and crushing anything that will ever be a threat to the FL.
