@Maewha almond released the arrow at an angle. Imagine the tokyo drift cars. The car is moving forward while sideways, which creates a U-shape. Both ends of the arrow will move forward while the middle shaft get's dragged. The shaft will catch up and that generates the curve. You loose the piercing power that's why almond had to release three shots, to deal the same dmg from a straight focused shot.
