@Cainan Chambless The one pretending to be the scarlet python is the mc, Nie Li; the girl they ditched is his disciple, from his sect whom he humbled bad and she got a crush on him. The kitsune girl is a friend of the demon racoon he got the blood before; the other girl is the hall master (leader) of water, the kitsune girl and the other demon guy he had befriended are in the same hall. The dead guys are the other hall members (excluding fire), the guy with purple eyes and evil aura is a follower of the sage emperor, so one of the minions of the absolute main antagonist (we haven't seen him before) The guy who got beaten to a pulp is cousin to the girl they left behind, he wanted to become the divine feathers sect master but Nie Li screwed him over and he wants revenge on him. And the demon sect master apparently wants to overthrow the sage emperor, so she asked Nie Li for cooperation into killing the holy son of the fire hall and maybe(?) in helping her survive the sage emperor's fella, since he's their common enemy.
