He NEEDS to understand that Ian and Brian are somehow different from eachother, cause they both grew up in different circumstances, Ian is literally like stuck with the fact that he's different from Brian and that's where his insecurities are probably gradually growing up from, It's kinda sad seeing these two not being able to communicate properly. COMMUNICATION IS KEY FWAK.

Yes but also no. They're the same person but they still have different memories and life experiences. It's the whole nature vs nurture thing.
