@Angelle tbf, it's more humilating for a woman, at least in that era, to be "unpure" than it was for a man. if anything, rich/high ranking men were probably never virgins when they got married...

@Fireshi To be fair most men would either be over joyed or just confused as the mc is. It's devestating for women in that tye of era for this to happen to them.
