@EvergreenTrees if your really that exhausted and burnt out then YES. Writers do it all the time. If something feels like its becoming a chore then you drop it, simple as that. That adds to what I said about just telling the story and be done instead of doing unnecessary things. 

There are series actually good ones that went on leave for years or near or over 10 years and came back. And yes. I've seen many of their schedules. Idk why not just have it pre-done or a vast majority dome before considering publishing it. Those days and weeks and months come in a blink of the eye!

@Voooo and I do agree with this person. If someone is exhausted and so burnt out and in bad condition to the point where they have to keep putting their bl on hiatus continously. Then yes drop the story. And to say "you expect them to" yes. For their health. They dont owe us anything. We aren't even paying them. The least we could do is give them a break and or let them quit
