Well if he told her the whole truth there would be no drama. So of course he's going to "protect her feelings" or some BS excuse and end up feeding her obsession with him so we can have 100 chapters of useless misunderstanding revenge subplot.

@delta Yeah, if people in stories and real life told the truth to avoid misunderstandings, the world would be a nicer place, and stories would end in 50 chapters, not 200 chapters of compounded misunderstandings as the only way to pad the story out for more chapter purchases.
